God’s Work of Separation and Holiness in the Life of the Believer

God’s Work of Separation and Holiness in the Life of the Believer

(Based on a message by Paul Washer)

When God truly saves a person, He does something powerful. He says in His Word:

"I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land." (Ezekiel 36:24)

This is more than just a historical event — it’s a picture of true holiness.

When God saves His people, He doesn't just leave them where they are. He doesn’t leave them in the world, bound by sin. No — He calls them out of the nations, out of the world, and He brings them into a place He has prepared for them. A holy place. A place where they are set apart for His purposes.

This is what happens when God saves a person. He begins to work in them with a very specific purpose: to pull them out of the world — to pull them out of worldliness, out of sin, and to bring them to Himself. To make them more like Jesus.

Now, let me ask you: Is this happening in your life?
Do you see God working in you to draw you out of the world?
Is He making you more like Himself, day by day?

If you’re not seeing this change in your life, that’s a serious issue. God always works in the lives of His true people to make them holy. He draws them to Himself, away from the darkness and into His light.
